  • Open from 16:00-22:30 each day with timed slot entry

Christmas in the Park will provide the perfect opportunity to celebrate the festive season with family and friends from 9-21 December in Higginson Park, Marlow.

The picturesque town of Marlow, which is nestled on the banks of the Thames, will be transformed into a yuletide festival that will light up the night sky.

An illuminating light trail featuring festive-themed installations will be the centrepiece of the event, featuring light tunnels, photo opportunities to capture memories and interactive surprises.

Visitors will enter via the Mistletoe Market – a Christmas Market - brimming with Chalets filled with hand-crafted and unique Christmas gifts, tipples and treats from hot toddies and roasted chestnuts to cheese boards and marshmallow-topped hot chocolate. Amongst these delicious treats, will be a special offering from local legend Tom Kerridge.

Mid-way through the trail, visitors will encounter the Winter Village, where the sounds of choirs and musicians performing live carols and classic Christmas songs will fill the air. Here you’ll find firepits, pop-up bars and festive food from a hand-picked selection of gourmet street food trucks. And for the young, and young at heart, there will be a mini fairground.

As visitors journey through the woods, they can visit the Elves Workshop, where children can help the jolly band of elves from the National Elf Service with their preparations for the big day.

This 12-day celebration will also have a number of additional ticketed events taking place on selected dates, in and around, Higginson Park:

  • Classic Christmas Movies – Grab a box of popcorn and enjoy everyone’s favourite festive flicks in the indoor pop-up cinema
  • Family Pantomimes – Catch pantomime performances suitable for all ages in our indoor pop-up theatre
  • Feasting Experiences – A special winter banquet experience in a covered outdoor setting
  • Party Nights – A curated party night experience for groups of adults, including entry to the event

Event Organisers, Brand Events, are also the people behind the Marlow Comedy Weekender and the annual Pub in the Park festival.

Managing Director, Miranda Martin, says of the festival: “We want to bring the people of Marlow, and further afield, together to celebrate the magic of Christmas with friends and family.”

“Christmas in the Park has been made possible with the support of Buckinghamshire Council and Marlow Town Council, who have been very supportive of the staging of the event for the whole town and surrounding area.”

The event is also proud to be supporting the Marlow Mayors charity, focusing on Children’s Mental Health.

Tickets to the main event - which include entry to the light trail and access to the Mistletoe Christmas Market and Winter Village - start from £20 for adults and £12 for children (plus box office fees), with free entry for 0-2 year olds. Additional events and prices to be published on Wednesday 28 October.

Marlow's traditional Carols on the causeway will be on the 14th December this year when Christmas in the park is not running.

Tickets go on general sale at midday on Wednesday 2 November. Sign up to the event newsletter to access the 10am presale and find out more information at
