All over the country, top chefs and amazing pubs are doing what they've got to do and adapting.

Happy Wednesday people!! …Or is it Tuesday? Who cares, because every day can be take-out day when you’re in lock-down.

We’re here to offer you an alternative to Dominos, no shade to Dominos (that Garlic dip is unbeatable) because there’s a whole world of culinary delights waiting to join you for a feel-good take-out party.

We’ve been chatting to some of our incredible Pub in the Park pals and turns out they’re offering a takeaway service, which I’m sure for foodies like you is INCREDIBLE NEWS.

Here’s a run down!

Tim Allen’s Flitch of Bacon

First up, we’ve got the Flitch of Bacon offering collection. It’s first come first serve and incredible value for money.

Here’s a taster of what’s on the menu:

Flitch of Bacon slow cooked in maple, topped with Mac and Cheese

Fresh artisanal Tagliatelle pasta (vegetarian options available)

Spring Vegetable Bake with fermented chilli and Pesto (Vegan)

  • Sticky toffee pudding with Butterscotch Sauce

And loads more options to be honest… see for yourself here!

You can also get some incredible wine starting from just £11 per bottle and save yourself queuing to get into Tesco or sitting in the virtual Ocado queue for 2 hours.

You’re welcome!

The Green Man

Candice Brown’s awesome pub The Green Man is another offering top quality food, delivered to your door. The Green Man’s in Milton Keynes and are offering delivery to those close by and take-away if you’re a bit further out.

They’re open Tuesday to Sunday and are even finishing the week off with a delivery Roast Dinner. So if you, like us have been missing having your Sunday Roast and Pub time… you’re half way there.

The menu includes:

Pork Belly Bites

Double Stacked Burger

Roasted Salmon Fillet

Roast Dinners! (Did we mention roast dinners?)

Peanut Butter Brown for those with a sweet tooth

To be honest, the menu is pretty large, so why don’t you just have a little read for yourselves here. We’re sure there’s something to tickle your fancy. The Green Man is another pub where you can order your drinks too… so if supplies are low, you’re sorted.

The Green Man are offering free takeaway delivery for orders over £25 within 5 miles, as an example: Tingrith, Milton Bryan, Woburn, Woburn Sands, Westoning (and many more)

The Beehive

Last but certainly not least… The Beehive. Another wonderful Pub offering a collection service. Dominic Chapman’s opening the kitchen during the day Thursday – Sunday so you can treat yourself to a fancy isolation lunch, or you can always order to reheat for your dinner. Whichever.

A sneak peak of the menu includes:

Scotch Egg (a personal favourite)

Braised Ox Cheeks with Bacon, Celery and loads more deliciousness

Gratin Dauphinoise

 Sunday lunch – result.

Chocolate Brownies (ok, salivating now)

You can see the full list of options at The Beehive

They’ve also opened a grocery shop, so with 24 hours notice you can collect your eggs, pasta, milk, vegetables whilst you’re there. We can think of worse ways to get your groceries.

We’re sure there’s more pubs offering delivery out there and when we know, we’ll make sure we tell you! With every cloud comes a silver lining and sometimes that silver lining is getting a seriously good quality take-away.

We hope you join us in supporting these culinary heroes. Times are tough on everyone and once the world is open and the streets are bustling again, we want to make sure these pubs are with us too.

Treat yourself, you’re worth it.

We're off to order some food, we’re hungry.

Big Hugs,

Pub in the Park x
