The legendary naval hero and co-founder of the US navy, Captain John Paul Jones, was raised in a small cottage on the Scottish shores of Dumfriesshire. It is on this very spot where JPJ Rum was born. Rum was always a part of John Paul Jones’ life, from his teenage days transporting it from the UK to the Caribbean all the way to the fact his dead body was preserved and pickled in the spirit when he died. 

Flavoured using handpicked spiral wrack seaweed picked from the very shore JPJ first went to sea from, every drop of our pioneering spirit embodies the indelible passion for adventure, displayed by the famous master and commander throughout his epic saga. John Paul Jones Ltd aims to push the boundaries of a modern rum producer, pioneering artisanal flavour combinations and unorthodox finishing techniques.
