The Compasses Inn in Crundale, near to Canterbury Kent, is situated in an area of outstanding beauty. An Authentic 14th century inn complete with wooden beans, hanging hops and open fire places, but it’s the food that has got The Compasses Inn noticed. Run by husband and wife team Robert and Donna Taylor for five years now, in this time the pub has received numerous accolades. Its proximity to an abundance of Kentish produce from Game Estates, Rivers for Fishing, amazing Farmlands with Local Producers - and not to forget the stunning coastline within striking distance and with meats coming from as little as 1/4 mile down the road. Robert says he is “spoilt for choice, and it makes sense to just let the produce shine, we concentrate on great produce, minimum fuss, bold flavours and really emphasising the key ingredient’s we use in each dish.”

Donna adds that the aim is to enjoy the style of food in the very deliberate relaxed environment.  once described by Marina O’Loughlin as “warming like a hug”.
