Peter Sanchez-Iglesias

Peter Sanchez-Iglesias is the chef/co-owner of Casamia in Bristol. Along with his brother Jonray, Peter grew up working in his parents’ restaurant and, in 2006, with his family’s support, began the transformation of the former trattoria into something spectacular. Their efforts earned the restaurant a coveted Michelin star in 2009 and 5AA Rosettes were awarded the same year.

Moving the restaurant to The General in Bristol, in January 2016 the team added two new restaurants, Pi Shop and Paco Tapas, to their waterfront home.

Peter was awarded Chef of the Year in the Good Food Guide 2018 in which Casamia was also named number 10 in the UK.

Paco Tapas received a Michelin star in the 2018 Michelin Guide which also marks Casamia’s incredible 10th year listed with a star in the Michelin Guide.
