Hicce hart has been created with the same ethos in mind as the original flagship restaurant, hicce, based in Coal Drops Yard. With a focus on fresh produce and British style plates, the space at the end of Chapel Market, Islington, is run by a strong female team who have previously also worked at hicce, so all the values have been transferred across. Gordy McIntyre & Pip

Lacey first created the hicce embryo back in the year 2000 but it would be a further 18 years before opening as both took time to hone their skills. Pip began as a commis chef at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant under Angela Hartnett, before working her way up to head chef at Michelin starred Murano. Gordy, hailing from north of the border, found himself in a more corporate dining world before making the move to the independent pub sector, which became his stomping ground for years, until hicce was born. Now the pair have opened their second venture to be a part of the beloved pub culture.
