Our good mate Andrew Pern from the Star Inn has been putting his chef skills to good use, with a little help from his family.

The Perns have been preparing and delivering meals for York A&E and ICU staff. 

Andrew’s known for his hearty Yorkshire grub and he certainly isn’t going to stop now. The meals delivered to NHS workers included roe deer venison cottage pie with horseradish mash, Nidderdale duck with citrus spices and cherries and lamb hotpot.

“We are proud to be feeding the NHS troops… My brigade of a team have stepped up by chopping, cooking and tubbing up all the meals” said Andrew.
