Jess and Jo Edun, aka The Flygerians, are two larger-than-life sisters bringing the bold, joyful flavours of Nigeria to the streets of London and into homes across the UK.
The Flygerians started with just £200 at a time when Nigerian food was widely misunderstood, underrepresented, and overlooked within the UK food industry. Eight years on, they’ve worked relentlessly to change that narrative proving that Nigerian cuisine is bold, complex, celebratory, and deserving of its place at the forefront of British food culture.
Through the book’s success The Flygerians have gone on to work with a host of big brands, including: Nike, Dr. Martens, Southern Rail and many more. Alongside this, regular recipe contributions to BBC Good Food YouTube channel and magazine and Olive Magazine have helped normalise Nigerian flavours within everyday British cooking. The girls have also appeared regularly on national TV on a whole host of TV shows including: Sunday Brunch, MasterChef, Stephs Packed Lunch and many more. The Flygerians have also been wowing the public all over the country with their all energy passion for what they do, regularly being booked at the major UK food shows BBC Good Food Show and Ideal Home Show.
