Situated in a picturesque village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, a couple of miles outside the market town of Helmsley, this much loved, Michelin-starred Inn has origins believed to date back to the 14th Century.

He fashioned The Star Inn into one of the first-ever ‘Gastropubs’ winning awards virtually all awards going: three Catey Awards, the Oscars of the catering industry, Number One Gastropub in the UK three times and one of the first pubs in the world to be awarded a much-celebrated Michelin star in 2002!

In the last decade or so, he has added The Star Inn The City, York, and the York Minster Refectory to his portfolio, as well as many TV appearances and, of course, doing every Pub in the Park at Marlow, since it began, bringing a taste of the best of Yorkshire.
